#OUaTrevisit: S6:E15/16
This will be posted to my Mastodon account; don’t forget to read my fellow Revisitors Katie’s and Cindy’s posts too!
A couple of fun episodes featuring the return of the Aladdin/Jasmine/Jafar storyline, and more gleeful scene-chewing by the Black Fairy! We’re getting close to the end of season six. Who will survive, and whose stories will end?
Also, this past weekend was another (very rare) in-person meet for the Revisit team! Naturally, we embarked on a treacherous voyage to another land…
S6:E15 A Wondrous Place
“Hook is trapped in another realm with the Nautilus.”
Airdate: April 02, 2017
- Killian is on a Wondrous Journey to a World of Color where Magic Happens.
- Emma tells David. Now we see whether David can handle it. Of course, they don’t know Killian’s departure was not of his own choosing.
- Faran Tahir and Oded Fehr in the same episode? Lucky us!
- Kraken Blood works as portal fuel, that’s new.
- “Surely you can’t be serious!”
- So we’re wandering the Enchanted Forest in the winter just looking around for a desert. Smart?
- That’s the greatest crown jewel? Not impressive.
- We need a hero!
- Jafar! Wish noise!
- The former Prince Achmed, that is.
- I think we found the Kraken.
- Nice shot, Hook.
- The files were created with “Dark Curse Technology” and financed through Silicon Valley Bank.
- Regina looks great!
- Aesop’s Tables.
- The look Regina gave David. So good.
- They couldn’t just harvest the Kraken right there outside the sub? No wonder Killian is extra grumpy.
- Side quest! Track down the evil sorcerer and get him (in some unexplained way) to just zip you home. I’m sure Jafar will be all too pleased to help out.
- Henry has wired earbuds. They used to be a thing.
- Just Vikings shooting pool, nothing to see here.
- Regina and Snow appear to be a few drinks in already.
- This heart-to-heart between Killian and Jasmine is nice but not believable.
- I do like the flashback Agrabah scenes though. Good costumes.
- Why is Ariel in Agrabah?? And she stole a fork. Needed to comb her hair.
- The necklace was a gift from Ursula if I remember correctly.
- Ah, this is when Ariel was traveling the realms looking for Eric because mermaids have an inherent ability to open portals.
- Eric never said he was traveling to Agrabah, though.
- That was pretty convenient, right?
- Aladdin could have zipped the Nautilus to the island, but instead, he just takes the crew.
- Drunk Snow is hilarious.
- Off-season Tiki bar. Sign me up.
- Why does Jafar have so many corkscrews??
- Jasmine! Ariel! Hook! Ariel! Janet! Brad! Doctor Scott!
- (This explains the corkscrews)
- “A Supposedly Fun Thing I’ll Never Do Again”
- There’s a llama in the background of this scene. Is it Kuzco??
- “I was bored with regular girls.” My jaw dropped until the Jafar reveal.
- I feel like this is probably a bad plan. Didn’t we just say that wishes never work the way you want?
- “Son of a fish!”
- Wait Agrabah is a peaceful city we have no weapons you can’t possibly…
- “Rather smaller than is ideal for trade agreements”
- Snow 100, Vikings 46. And Snow is wearing one of their helms.
- Aesop came from the Land of Untold Stories. Now he runs a bar. That’s a spinoff series I would watch.
- Did we learn why Eric and Ariel live in a tiki hut?
- Again with the hovel.
- One TLK coming right up!
- (Shining, shimmering, splendid)
- Meanwhile, who gets to keep the screaming Jafar head?
- “I’m an oyster-head”
- A shell phone, of course. I’m totally here for lovably goofy Ariel.
- Uh. That wasn’t Aesop. Not cool.
- I’m afraid the deflector shield will be quite operational when your friends arrive.
- Gideon wants Emma to kill the Black Fairy, his grandmother. This guy!
S6:E16 Mother’s Little Helper
“Hook bets his most prized possession in a card game.”
Airdate: April 9, 2017
- “Mother’s Little Helper” is a song by the Rolling Stones (about Valium) featuring Keith Richards, who played Captain Jack Sparrow’s father in one of the PotC movies. Disney connection: ✅
- Jaime Murray as the Black Fairy. This season’s delightfully over-the-top scene-chewer.
- “You have no power over me.”
- (Dearie)
- Poor Roderick.
- I like Emma’s outfit a lot.
- All of the darkness comes from the Black Fairy. Including the Dark Ones?
- Town line protection spell, check. Freed the Dragon from the mirror realm, check. Oh, he can go back to his family in San Francisco!
- And got Doctor Dolittle out of a cage, don’t ask. Henry’s look!
- Uh oh, what’s got into Henry? This isn’t the Author's pen.
- What kind of dust does the Black Fairy need? Seems bad.
- Maybe hand over the sword in the sheath with the belt. Handing off the drawn sword is less helpful.
- So wait, after all of Emma’s premonitions, Gideon just gives up? I said his mission was pointless but I didn’t expect him to realize it.
- Hey, it’s Blackbeard! “Not since you lost the Jolly Roger in Arendelle.”
- Is this where Han wins the Falcon from Lando in a Sabacc match?
- I wonder if this is a trap. Gosh.
- It’s a bug hunt.
- Who had a web-blob shooting spider on their bingo card?
- Hmm, no ship. Do you remember where we parked?
- [Magical whirring]
- Isaac! Nice to see Patrick Fischler.
- “Hamilton tickets.” Hey, Hamilton is on D+ which means it’s fair game. Angelica and Eliza are definitely Disney Princesses.
- Rumple didn’t create the Dark Curse?
- They really messed up the Grand Californian lobby.
- Where did they end up? I kind of love this buddy comedy bit.
- Oh no, back in Neverland. Again.
- Hey, thanks Gold.
- (Squish)
- The Terrarium of Invisibility.
- “This is on you, Gideon! And my boot.”
- Hmm. Gideon was being controlled via heart the whole time. I guess.
- Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal.
- “I’ll never look at Spider-Man the same way.”
- Always with pointless promises, Gold.
- Amazing dress on the Black Fairy!
- It’s true, nobody’s magic was powerful enough for Hamilton tickets in 2017.
- License plate: WED 1901
- The Final Battle. What could that be? We have eight episodes left this season to find out!
